The ACE Collective will be performing for the very first time 4 New Compositions, and 5 Re-Orchestrations, and New arrangements of the oldest ones that will be part of an Upcoming CD to be recorded this December in Austria, and will be released in the year 2011!
The music will be a combination of original Compositions based off inspired old Caribbean rhythms compose in retrograde, and developed in to an extended angular rhythmic-melodic line that is an extended version of my composition "In the Ear of the Beholder" from the ACE Trio CD by the same name. This concept with the addition of the Voice, Poetry and lyrics by Nora McCarthy, the soul and sound of Waldron "Mahdi" Ricks on Trumpet, and the impressionistic voicing of Pablo Vergara on Piano will bring the "Source Sound" of meter over meter and melody over rhythmic pattern up to the forefront and create the New groove that Michael Wimberly will bring to the plate on Drums and Djembe with the solid sound and groove of Donald Nicks on Electric Bass Guitar!
